parking violation

i just had my first traffic violation: obstruction — 1st offense. to my dismay, the traffic officer can’t explain why i was parked illegally. grrrrr! can anyone explain to me what traffic rule have i violated here? scenario: i was parked at a creek adjacent to a mall here with no NO PARKING sign, no crosswalk, and definitely not within intersection of curb lines. the following are the only parking violations (with their corresponding fines) found at LTO:

Parking on a crosswalk
Parking within 6 meters of the intersection of curb lines

Parking at any place where official signs are posted prohibited parking
